first animated short film, “Escape Velocity”, was recently picked up by
SHORTS INTERNATIONAL, an international film distributor with offices in
London, New York and Los Angeles.

At the Port Townsend Film Festival,
where “Escape Velocity” won “Best Short Documentary”, the film was seen by

distribute the film.
“Escape Velocity” has won several awards and
has played in festivals and theaters all over the world, including
performances in London, Toronto, Moscow, San Francisco and Los
Angeles.
Among other awards, “Escape Velocity” won “Best
Experimental Film” at the USA Film Festival, Dallas, Texas. This is an
Academy Qualified Competition.
A 10 minute version of the film is
on the DVD accompanying the recently released revised edition of Michael
Dean’s acclaimed how-to book “Thirty Dollar Film School”, Thompson Course
Technology.
“Escape Velocity” explores the nature of creativity,
and the connection between A.D.D. and creativity, using his own life in
self-deprecating, humorous examples.
