Altered Book Round-Robin -- May 17th 12-2:00:  What fun!  Come join us!

There must be 6 to 8  students sign up for this class to run!

Will run 6  to 8 weeks and a 1-hour lecture prior to class startup date / each class 4 hours 2 techniques per class.

This is a class that has to be taken in it's entirety.

OK, are you ready?
First things first "Getting Started" a 30 minute to an 1 hour about choosing the right book, preparing the book, design principles, tools, materials, techniques for altering a book, developing your theme, sign in pages, and signing your book.  These are going to be fast-passed interesting and creative classes.  You will start off working in your own book, then exchange your book starting during the 2nd week to work in one another's book, till everyone has worked in everyone's books.  At the end of the session, each student will have a completed 'round-robin' book to take home that grew out of their original book, but that everyone will have worked on, creating special pages that are unique to your book and subject.  You will finish up with an 'art piece' on your subject matter that will be an accumulation of a number of different interesting styles.  In addition, as you work on books, you will 'stretch' yourself and go outside your own box while creating in everyone else's books.

So you're a painter, poet, doll maker, printmaker, assemblage, multimedia, quilter, graphic designer, photographer, sculptor, ceramist, writer, or textile artist.  Yes I'm talking to all of you.  Many artists have stayed true to their style and medium while working in and crossing over to altered books.

Techniques:  There will be 2 techniques per class equaling 12 techniques with 24 pages to be completed. Or if there are 8 students 16 techniques and 32 pages will be completed.
