Juror: Johnny
Johnson, renowned artist was born in Henderson, North Carolina, and has
a BS Degree in Fine Arts Education in VA State University and an MFA
from Howard University. He began teaching art in the
Fredericksburg Area in 1959, and taught in the City Public Schools for
over 30 years. He was also an adjunct professor at both Germanna
Community College and the University of Mary Washington. He has
conducted workshops all over the United States. His exhibitions
include showings at Howard University, Washington D.C., Twentieth
Century Gallery, Williamsburg, African American Gallery, Columbia,
Maryland, Mt Sterling, Kentucky One-Man Exhibit, Frejus, France, and
French Rivera. He holds numerous awards for watercolor and mixed
media, and Governor's Life Time Achievement in Art in the Fredericksburg
Area and the James Farmers Memorial Award for Art.
