Juror: K.
Johnson Bowles,
director of the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts, will serve as
juror. Bowles has served as director of the Longwood Center since 2000.
She has worked in the museum field for 23 years and in the last 10 years
has organized more than 125 exhibitions. She has written numerous
catalog essays on topics as diverse as contemporary, 19th century,
African, and Chinese art. Her critical writing on contemporary art has
been published in national publications including Afterimage, Fiberarts,
and Surface Design Journal. Bowles holds an MFA in photography and
painting from Ohio University and a BFA from Boston University.
